All characters of E462 (Field of education supplementary code) must meet one of these conditions:

VAL (E462 (Field of education supplementary code)) must be all zeros,

OR

E462 (Field of education supplementary code) is a 6-digit code shown in Appendix E - Field of Education Classification.

These code also appear in the field "Code" in records in the DESTPAC database table ASCED2000.
